Are you currently feeling so unmotivated to write blog posts for money? Do you have a bad case of writer’s block and can’t find blog inspiration?

Girl, I get it. You and I are the same. I used to go weeks without having anything to write about. I would leave my reader’s wondering where I went which is the #1 thing you DON’T want to do in your blogging career.

One thing that I want to point out is that it’s completely normal to lose motivation and inspiration. We are humans and this is usually what happens.

We get inspired, we are our most motivated self, we burn ourselves out and then the motivation completely disappears. It’s normal and it is part of the human experience.

But girl what if I told you there were some ways to always find that motivation even in your most un-inspired times?

So allow me to share the very best ways to stay motivated and to stay inspired to write new blog posts for money every week.

PINTEREST

Pinterest is the number one thing that keeps me inspired. I scroll through Pinterest and read a lot of other bloggers’ blog posts every day.

I find that reading other bloggers’ posts keeps me very inspired to write my own. It helps me come up with all of my good blog post ideas and also digital product ideas as well.

There is also a very cool new tool on Pinterest to brainstorm some ideas.

If you click “Analytics” you will see something that says “trends.”

It will take you to a place where you can search for keywords and you can see if it is trending or not.

Writing blog posts that are trending can also help your Pinterest pin go viral.

If you haven’t started using Pinterest to grow your blog traffic, then read my “Pinterest Tips” blog post.

EDIT OLD BLOG POSTS

Editing some of your old blog posts is a must. You should be regularly updating all of the old blog posts so they can stay up-to-date with new trends, etc. Especially when you write new blog posts for money.

I also like to go and edit my blog posts because if I feel that I didn’t touch on that subject enough, I could make a new blog post about it which keeps me inspired.

As humans, our mindsets grow every single day. We learn more and more about blogging as we go on and how we wrote back then could be worse than how we write now.

Don’t believe me? Go back to one of your old blog posts and read it. You think its a little on the rough side, don’t you? This is why you should edit it so it can fit your current voice and your current writing style.

I currently edit all of my blog posts every 3 months. It is very time-consuming but it is a must-do for your blog.

CHECK OUT YOUR COMPETITORS

Go on Pinterest and take a look at what your competitors are writing about so you can find inspiration to write your own blog posts.

Now, I am not saying to look at your competitors and copy them. Please don’t ever do that. But you can definitely take a look and gain some inspiration from them.

But look, your blog post idea will always be written by someone else or by several people. But your audience hasn’t heard it come from YOU.

Like I said above, we all have different writing styles, voices, and different values that we implement in our blog posts. Therefore, no one has heard that specific blog post written from YOUR perspective.

Have a little bit of writers block in your blogging career? Here is how to overcome your writers block and how to get inspired to write new blog posts.

With that being said, go and find some blog post ideas written from your competitors and write it how you think it should be written. Again, copy nothing they do.

Write the blog post title in your own way, come up with your blog post headings, etc.

For example, I am sure that there are several blog posts on “How to Start a Blog With Intention” but I can honestly say that that post is written WAY differently from anything anyone has ever written. Do you see what I mean?

SIT DOWN AND BRAINSTORM

Brainstorming is SO fun!

Take a seat, get a piece of paper, and start thinking of some blog posts ideas that your ideal reader would want to read.

I do this every other day. It helps me to stay so motivated to not only write new blog posts but to stay consistent and motivated to do ALL blog tasks.

I take a piece of paper, head on Pinterest, and try to think of any blog posts that I want to write.

I’ll write down my blog categories like….

  • Blogging
  • Branding
  • Website Design

And then I write underneath of the categories, blog posts title ideas that I think would fit the categories if you know what I mean.

CREATE A BLOG VISION BOARD

Girl, if you haven’t created a vision board, then get up and go to your local store to buy yourself a poster board.

Print out some images that represent what you want your blog to look like in the future.

For example, on my vision board…I have how many subscribers I want to have by the end of the year, how much money I want to earn from my blog, etc.

This can be a really fun project for you, especially if you’re bored one day and feel creative.

Then I recommend you hang the vision board somewhere near your blog workspace. I know it probably isn’t the prettiest thing but it WORKS.

This is because of the law of attraction. Whatever you focus on every single day will circle back around and create your reality. If you have a vision board and look at it every day, you are more inclined to reach those goals when you focus on achieving them.

WRITE A BLOG POST SERIES

Take another piece of paper and brainstorm a blog post series idea.

This could be something like a “Blog traffic series” or a weekly “home organization” series.

Come up with something creative that your readers would love and write a blog post series on it. This can help you become super inspired to write new blog posts because it helps you pick a topic and have a set plan for your blog.

COLLAB WITH OTHER BLOGGERS

Have you ever wanted to collab with other bloggers and trade guest posts?

Guest posting means that someone will write a blog post for your blog and you will write a blog post for them.

When you are feeling uninspired you can reach out to someone who will write a blog post for your website.

This is also extremely helpful for SEO. You need to be regularly writing guests posts on other bloggers’ websites to create backlinks that Google loves.

It’s time to stop being shy and start emailing some bloggers and asking them to collab!

MOVE YOUR LOCATION

I don’t know about you…but every time I work in one place for a while, I become super demotivated and uninspired. So to get the motivation back, I like to move my work location. I often move from the computer desk to the kitchen table, to the bar pretty often.

If I have been working at my computer desk for too long, I move to the kitchen table and I notice that I immediately find some new inspiration. I’ll work there until I again, get unmotivated and move to the bar.

So if you have been working in one spot lately, maybe try moving your work spot tomorrow.

P.s. Never work on your blog in bed. I know it can be quite tempting but for 1. It’s bad for your back. For 2. It makes you sleepy. And for 3. The bed is for sleeping.

Being on your computer will make you want to stay awake and girl, you need your beauty sleep. Gens Amazon Favorites for Bloggers.

HAVE A BLOG PLAN

Remember the list of blog post ideas that I had you brainstorm? Well, you can take those blog post ideas and have a set plan for yourself and you honestly NEED to do this if you are a blogger.

I like to create my blog post plan in Asana. I write down what specific days I will write a blog post and I will plug in my blog post ideas into there.

If I say that I am going to write a new blog post on Wednesdays, then it is a NON-NEGOTIABLE.

I have made this plan for myself and I will never miss a Wednesday again.

So chose a day that you want to write a blog post and make it a non-negotiable to always write on that specific day of the week and have blog post ideas ready to go for that day.

A blog post content editorial is not only going to help you stay organized and consistent but it will help you stay inspired and to always have a blog post to write every week.
