Hey there, blogging ladies.
Welcome back to another episode of the Boss Lady Bloggers podcast, where I help aspiring lady bloggers like you design your blog brand, build a Keller blog website, and get the right strategies to turn your blog into a profitable business.
I’m your host, Genasys, and today we’re going to be diving super deep into exactly how to start a blog from scratch and make it super successful right from the start. So now, if you’ve been dreaming about starting your blog, but you’ve been feeling very, very overwhelmed with it, like, where to even begin?
This episode has been made for you.
I’m going to be breaking down all the steps from creating your blog’s vision and choosing your niche to writing your first posts, setting financial goals, and even building your entire brand strategy and more.
I know there’s a lot of information out there, but here at boss Ladybloggers, we focus on actionable, straightforward advice that’s very blunt and that’s going to make you stand out in a very big way. So grab your coffee or maybe your glass of wine and let’s get into it.
Before I begin, though, I want to let you know I have like, a little update on life in general. As you know, I left a toxic relationship a couple months back.
I talked a little bit about it here on my podcast and then I moved into my grandma’s house for a couple months and then now I’m finally in my apartment. I’ve been here for a good three weeks now and it just feels really great. Like I’m settling in.
I’m starting to, like, get back into, like, my routines, cooking, you know, waking up early, getting back into focusing on my business, like heavily. And everything just feels so great.
Like, I feel so good and I’m just so excited to see where this new chapter is going to take me because everything is different, but it’s so much better.
Like, I’m so glad I left that relationship because in the morning when I have my coffee and sit down and have like, a nice breakfast that I meal prepped and it just feels so good. Like I have my peace and that is so important. And now I see that, like, having your peace is so important.
And starting your day out right is also very, very important. Like, in that toxic relationship, we would always be, like, fighting already first thing in the morning, things would be just very negative.
I couldn’t even sit down and have a coffee without yapping to, like, already do dishes and blah, blah, blah. So this feels so nice. Like, I can do dishes whenever I’m done with my coffee whenever I freaking want to.
If I don’t want to do them today, I don’t have to, you know what I mean? So, yeah, I mean, it just feels really great.
And so, yeah, I just wanted to give you a little update and now we can move forward with very consistent new podcast episodes. And the holidays are right around the corner, so I’m already planning out some like awesome new courses, new deals for you guys.
So stay tuned for like Black Friday, Christmas sales and all of that fun stuff. So, oh, I’m also doing New Year’s. Like, I’m going big this year and Cyber Monday. So you’ll get a lot from me this year.
But anyways, let’s get into this episode. How to start a blog from scratch and make it so successful, profitable, etcetera. Number one, we want to develop your blog’s vision and purpose.
We’ve been talking a lot about this in the last like seven episodes or so. So if you want to go back to this, you can.
There’s so many topics that I covered on developing your vision and purpose and your whole entire business plan, but I just want to cover it briefly here for a second. The first thing that you need to think about is your blog’s vision and purpose because this is absolutely key. And let me tell you why.
Your vision is the driving force behind every single thing that you’re going to be doing in your blog. Without it, you’re going to be just spinning your wheels, wondering why you’re not getting the traction that you want, right?
Why am I not seeing blog traffic? Why am I not seeing monetization results? Why is nobody buying what I’m offering?
Maybe it has something to do with your whole entire blog’s vision and you didn’t map out a business plan and you don’t have a purpose for why you’re even doing this in the first place. So you’re going to get demotivated. So before you do anything else, I want you to ask yourself, why am I starting this blog?
Are you passionate about certain topic? Maybe you want to help people solve a problem that you once faced.
Or perhaps you see your blog as a business that you can grow and monetize over time.
Whatever it is you want to get crystal clear on this vision, your blog’s vision is literally going to help you to stay motivated when you hit those inevitable bumps in the road. Like, trust me, the bumps are going to come. And when you can see them head on and know like, okay, I’m going to hit a bump in the road.
I’m going to hit many bumps in the road, but what is going to keep me going? You have to write this down. Okay. But having a strong sense of purpose is going to help you push through those inevitable bumps, right?
So write down a clear mission statement for your blog. Something like, I’m starting this blog to insert your purpose and help my specific target audience by providing insert value.
Once you’ve nailed that, everything else will fall into place much easier. It’s going to guide your branding, your content, your blogs, design, the offers. You create, literally everything.
So for example, I would say something like, I’m starting this blog to get more a sense of fulfillment in this life, to be able to give my son everything that he wants and needs and to be able to have a lot of money in the bank to back myself up on for a very long time.
And my son and I want to help aspiring lady bloggers by providing blog coaching, branding and amazing website designed to help them to go step by step to building a profitable blogging business by selling their own offers. So something like that, okay, purpose, target audience by providing whatever you’re going to offer.
So once you’ve nailed that, everything is literally going to fall into place because it’s going to guide literally everything that you are going to do.
Now we can go super deeper, like I mean a lot deeper into this and I do inside of my course, which you can check below the plan, your blog’s vision and business plan course. It helps you walk through literally everything that I’m talking about today.
Also, we get super deep with this clarity when you join my signature blog coaching program. Number two, decide on your blog’s niche. So now that you’ve got your vision down, let’s talk about choosing your niche. Because this is a big one.
Your niche is the specific topic or area that your blog will focus on. Here’s the thing. I know you want to be everything to everyone, but when you try to do that, you’re going to actually end up connecting with no one.
And that’s why picking the right niche is so, so important. So how do you choose a niche? You want to start by thinking what you’re truly passionate about. What do you love talking about?
What could you spend hours and hours upon hours writing about without getting bored? But it’s not just about the passion, right? You also want to pick a niche that’s going to be profitable, that has profit potential.
You want to do some research, look at other blogs in your niche or in the niche that you think that you might want to be starting. And if they’re monetizing successfully, then maybe this is a really good, profitable niche that you should start.
Are there opportunities for digital products and services that you could offer within this niche? You want a sweet spot where your passion overlaps with the profitability. And remember, narrowing down your niche helps you stand out as a blogger.
Right? If you’re too broad and talking about everything, you’re not going to stand out.
You’re not going to be a specialist, you’re just going to be a generalist. Right? We want to specialize in something and if you specialize, your blog is going to have a much better chance of resonating with your audience.
Because when you talk to everybody, you talk to no one. You’re not going to connect with that one specific person. And really, your niche is not about whatever topics you’re going to be talking about.
It’s really about who is that ideal person. And we’re going to move on this into talking about target audience in a second.
But don’t think of your niche as all the different topics that you’re going to talk about. We can think about that later. Right now, it’s gonna be more about who that one specific person is that we wanna talk to.
And then we can decide on your content buckets and what do you wanna talk to them about? For example, I target the aspiring lady blogger. I don’t target travel bloggers.
I don’t target the bloggers who want to use affiliate marketing and ads to monetize their blog. I target aspiring lady bloggers who want to start a legit business by selling their own digital products and services on their blog.
I speak to the aspiring lady blogger who knows that investing in her blogging business, investing in a really powerful brand, website design and blog coaching is literally the key to getting the success that she wants 100%. You know what I mean? So I don’t speak to everyone, I speak to her.
The person who’s ready to invest, the aspiring ladyblogger who wants to get things up and running. She just doesn’t know how.
And she doesn’t even want to figure out how because she’d rather just have somebody who’s an expert in this do her branding for her, do her website for her, because it’s done and it’s going to be done the right way the first time. And then she knows that I’m going to be taking her step by step through the whole entire process of building this very profitable blog.
She’s not a person who wants to go blind to learn how to do all of this on her own and then have to keep backtracking her steps because she missed out on a lot of things because she didn’t invest in her knowledge. You know what I mean? This is the depth of knowledge that you want to have on your person. So your niche is more about who that is.
And then we talk about, okay, what kind of content pieces do we want to offer? Okay, so me, my overall niche is kind of just blogging, but I’d speak to somebody who is starting a blog.
So my content topics that I talk about is starting a blog, growing a blog, organizing a blog.
So like, content calendars and systems and such, branding, website design for bloggers, and monetizing a blog with their own digital products and services. But in each step, I am still speaking to that one specific person. You know what I mean? So that brings me to my next tip.
You want to understand your target audience on a very deep level. And I’m not talking about surface level stuff like age, gender, location, blah, blah, blah, okay, those are the demographics.
I mean, actually really getting into their minds. You need to know their pain points, their dreams, their fears. Who exactly this person is?
Is it a mom, is it a business owner female who is struggling to start a business? Or you could pick a different niche where, okay, is it this person trying to grow their blog or grow their business?
Or, I mean, there’s, it’s just all about this target audience. And you want to know them, their dreams, their fears, their pain points, what keeps them up at night.
Because once you know these things, then you can create content that speaks directly to them.
When I address you guys, I call you guys aspiring lady bloggers, the lady bloggers who want to turn their blog into a business by selling your own offers. And I know what you’re struggling with.
You are struggling with starting your blog, getting it up and running in a way that is the right way the first time. You don’t want to backtrack your steps. You want to start this and make it profitable. And you want the step by step action plan to get there.
And you want the best of the best, the best coaching, the best website design, the best brand. You want to ensure that this is 100% going to be profitable, right?
You want to build a business and use your blog as a marketing tool to make this profitable. Okay?
So you want to create content that speaks directly to that one specific person and then create offers and freebies that are going to solve their problems and content that also solves their problems. And here’s where market research really comes in. And I know market research can really sound boring, but it doesn’t have to be.
I mean, what is market research in the first place? Market research is doing the research on your target audience. Start by joining Facebook groups where your audience hangs out.
There is fun ways to do this, like going into Facebook groups. See if there’s anybody in those Facebook groups who are your specific target audience. Read the questions that they’re asking.
Pay attention to the problems that they’re trying to solve. What questions do they have? I think I already said that. You can also check out like forums on Reddit.
There’s so much on blogging, there’s so much on business, so much on motherhood, like so many different topics within Reddit forums or quora. Or look at the comments on the most popular blogs in your niche. Another great tool that you can use is sending out surveys.
You can create a simple survey to ask your potential readers what they’re struggling, what they’re looking for, what they need, what their desires are, their goals. All of these different questions in one simple like Google form survey. If you already have an audience, you can definitely do that.
Highly recommend it.
I send a new survey to my audience at least once per quarter because the more that you know about your audience, the better that you can tailor your blog to meet those needs to help them solve their pain points. You don’t want to be creating content just for SEO, okay? You want to be creating content that is for the reader itself.
And so of course, you do still want to write blogs for SEO.
And it’s going to be very boring because it’s not going to be about the topics that you want to write about, but it is very helpful to get traffic and so we still need it.
However, I want you to focus more on writing content that is really going to help that one specific person because when they read your content and they’re like, oh my God, this is for me, then they’re going to click on those call to actions. Then they’re going to go to your about page, read more about who you are and then connect with you.
And then once they read your story and connect with you on a deeper level, and then they know you, trust you. They trust that you know what you’re talking about and that you are an authority in this niche, then they’re going to want to buy from you.
Then they’re going to want to sign up to your email list. Then they’re going to want to know more about everything that you have to offer and purchase from you whatever you have to offer. Right?
So this is so, so, so important. And once you’ve gathered this information, it’s time to create audience Personas.
So these are kind of like fictional characters that can represent your ideal readers. You want to give that one specific person a name, job, a personal details. What are their pain points? What solutions are they looking for?
So, like, studying that data, you want to see the common themes. Like, what are the common pain points that all of these moms are having for their blogging business?
What are the common themes of the solutions that they said that they are trying to search for? What are the common themes on their dreams? Like, what do they want?
So by having these, like, fictional characters in mind for who that person is, then you can create content that speaks directly to them. Then you can create an offer that is going to actually really help them and something that they really desire, too.
And then you can make them feel like every single thing that you’ve ever created has been written just for them, or that has been created just for that person. Number four, defining your blog’s financial goals and breaking them down. So let’s switch gears a little bit and talk about the money.
You’re not just blogging for fun, obviously, right? You probably. I mean, most of you guys just want to make this blog profitable, right? I mean, that’s where I was.
Of course I had a message to share, but I also just wanted to make this profitable. Like anything that I could do just to make money from this, I was gonna do it.
But in order to do that, we need to define a clear financial goal for your blog. How much do you want to make in the first year? It could be 12,000, which could break down to $1,000 a month.
Whatever your goal is, you want to write down this financial goal. Having a tangible goal helps you keep you focused on the business side of your blog.
So next, you need to break down that number into manageable steps. So say your goal is to make $1,000 a month. How are you going to make that? Do you want to sell digital products like ebooks or courses?
Are you going to offer services like coaching or consulting? Or maybe wanting to offer something else, whatever that may be? But now, here’s where it gets specific.
If you’re selling a $100 product, you need to make ten sales a month to hit $1,000. But not every visitor that’s going to be going to that sales page for that product is going to buy, right?
So typically, the conversion rates are around one to 3%.
So to make ten sales at 1% conversion rate, then you need to get 1000 visitors to that sales page or to that offer, checkout page or whatever to that every single month.
By breaking it down this way, you’re going to know exactly what kind of traffic that you need to generate and then you can start focusing on driving those numbers. Numbers are key here in business. If you want to treat your blog as a legit business, you need to know your numbers.
You need to know how many sales that you need to make per month, at what price to make it to your goal of $1,000 a month. Then you need to know how much traffic needs to see that specific page to convert at one to 3%.
And I take you through this of course, in my one on one blog coaching program, my signature offer. It combines branding, website design and six months of blog coaching. If you want to book a call, you can below highly recommend it.
I’m not going to pressure you to join, but if you want to ask questions and see the pricing of this and see if this is like for you and know like so many more details about it, then you can go to the sales page below or you can just book a call with me. But I did just create the plan, your blogs vision and business plan course. You can also get that link below to purchase.
So now, next step, we need to develop a solid offer. So this is a critical step because your offer is what is really going to turn your readers into paying customers.
Your offer could be a digital product, an e book, a course, a membership site, a service. Or it could be a service like coaching, website design, consulting, anything.
Whatever it is, it needs to solve that one specific problem for that one specific target audience. The more specific your offer, the more likely that your audience will find it valuable. So let’s take an example.
Say your blog is about personal finance and your audience is young professionals who want to save money. A great offer could be a budget template or a mini course on how to save $500 in 30 days.
The key is to know your audience’s pain points and offer them a solution. Once you’ve created your offer, you want to set realistic purchase goals. Remember the conversion rate that we talked about? It’s one to 3%.
So based on that, we want to set a goal for how many people that you want to buy your product or service each month. And we need to make this realistic. Like if you’re just starting out, you’re probably not going to get a purchase in the first five months.
I would say that’s just realistic because you don’t have that thousand people seeing that sales page, right? So. Or that offer in general. So we need to focus on our marketing efforts then. So always focus on your marketing if you want to reach those numbers.
But we need to know your numbers and we need to know your offer. This offer really needs to be a mix of what they want. Sell them what they want, not what they need. Of course I know what bloggers need.
They need to break down their numbers. They need to set goals. Of course. They need to do all this boring stuff like setting up hosting and blog, right? But I don’t sell them what they need.
I sell them their desire. I sell them what they want. They want a profitable blogging business. They want a really stunning, beautiful brand.
They want a website design that works, that sells. They want to create offers that sell, right? So that’s what I sell. Number six, choosing a blog name and setting up hosting is your next step.
So you’ve got your vision, your niche, your target audience. You’ve set financial goals and you have your offer. And now it’s time to bring your blog to life. And that starts with choosing a blog name.
Your blog name should be catchy, memorable and aligned with your blog’s purpose. It’s the very first thing that people are going to see, right? So you want to make it count.
And if you’re stuck, you can use a blog name generator or try brainstorming with words related to your niche. But you can keep it simple and make sure that it’s something that is going to stick with the people. Okay?
You want to make sure that it’s unique, that nobody else has it out there. You want to keep it short, concise and just very simple, easy to spell and just, yeah, simple, memorable. That’s all I can really say about it.
But I go in deep detail inside of the new course below the plan. Your blog’s vision and business plan. Course, we dive super deep into a whole module on everything that you need for just your blog name.
And so once you’ve settled on this name, it’s time to set up your blog’s hosting. I recommend using reliable hosting platforms like Siteground. You’re also going to want to get a professional email address to keep things legit.
You can get this from Google workspace or you can go right through Siteground and you can get an email from them as well. But lastly, you want to claim your social media handles across all platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, even X.
All platforms that you know about, even TikTok, because you never know in the future if you’re going to decide. Okay, well, right now I’m not going to use TikTok, but maybe in the future I will use TikTok to market my blog or business.
So, like, make sure you just secure that handle on all platforms, even if you’re not going to be using it. Okay, number seven, we want to create a legit business plan for your blog.
A lot of new bloggers really skip this step because they have no idea how to put a legit business plan together. But trust me, it is so, so crucial. Your blog is a business, and every business needs a plan. So here’s what your business plan is going to include.
Your vision and mission, your target audience, super deep detail, your monetization strategy.
So exactly how you’re going to monetize your financial goals, your content plan, your marketing strategy, your executive statements, and so much more. Because this plan, even though you can think of it as like just a document, like, why do I need this?
No, it’s so, so, so important because this is going to be your entire roadmap for growing your blog and making money from it. This will tell you exactly what you need to be doing to truly make this profitable.
And this is what I do in the course plan your blogs vision and business plan. We map this whole entire thing out together and then I give you action plans to. Okay, what are your first steps?
Like, okay, I have this business plan. What do I need to do to make this successful?
I give you the step by step plan and I also do this for you when you join my signature blog coaching program. Of course, we do this together. Number eight, develop your blog’s brand identity and core brand strategy.
So your brand identity is going to be literally what sets you apart from the other blogs out there. It’s the personality of your blog and how you want to be perceived by your audience. First, I want you to think about your brand’s core message.
What do you stand for? What values are you communicating to your audience? This message should be very clear and consistent across every single thing that you do.
From your blog’s post, to your social media, to your emails. Your messaging is the most important part of your blog’s brand. Okay? If you don’t have captivating messaging, you don’t have anything. Okay?
Your message truly needs to speak to that one specific person. And like, when they read your messaging, your consistent messages that you put together, they’re going to instantly connect with that.
And it’s going to compel them to take action. And next you’re going to want to define your visual brand identity. So this is like colors, logos, typography, the overall mood, the images.
Are you going to be going for a fun and playful look or are you going to be going for more sophisticated and professional your brand? As soon as somebody lands on your website, they should instantly feel some type of emotions. It’s kind of like walking into a room.
If you walk into like an old, like dark and gloomy room, you’re going to feel kind of like dark and gloomy inside, right? You’re not going to want to stay for very long. You’re probably just going to exit the room and be like, bye, I’m not staying here.
This is like rundown place. This ain’t fun. Like, I feel a little scared, you know?
But if you land on a website that is like warm and calm and tranquil and it makes you feel like you’re on some kind of vacation away from your life, it makes you like really feel emotions and positive emotions, obviously, then you’re gonna want to stay.
You’re gonna want to read all the writing on the website, check out who this person is, learn more about their business, and it’s just going to make you want to stay on their website, right? So this is what we want to create something that is beautiful and meaningful. So we need to figure this out. And remember, the consistency is key.
Every single touch point of your audience has with your blog or your social media, or your Pinterest account, or your emails, or literally everything. Then your blog should feel very cohesive and reinforce that brand message.
So I’m going to be talking more about this in the next couple episodes, so make sure you stay tuned. Subscribe to my podcast.
We’re going to be talking a lot about what makes a brand identity super amazing and also about core brand strategy and core brand messaging and all that fun stuff. So make sure you subscribe because this is so important.
I don’t think you realize how important this is, not just the colors alone, okay, and the whole like, brand identity vibe, but also the messaging. How are we going to convey that? Like, our brand is more meaningful than any other blog out there, right?
So, I mean, I do the brand strategy for you inside of my signature offer, so you get branding. This is the very first thing that we’re going to do after we gain a lot of clarity behind the brand and why it’s so meaningful.
Then I put together a brand strategy guide for you which tells you all of your core messages, your mission statement, your vision statement, your core values, your voice, your vision, everything. And then I create the brand identity. So your colors, your logo, your fonts, and I also put brand reasoning behind everything.
Why did I pick these elements? Why did I pick these colors? Why did I pick these fonts? There’s going to be a reason behind every single thing that I choose for your brand.
So it is so, so meaningful. So I’m going to move on.
But if you want to get a professional, beautiful, stunning brand that works and brand messaging that really speaks to that one specific person that you want to talk to in your writing, then click below, book a call with me or head to my sales page to learn more. It’ll all be linked down below in the show notes. Now let’s talk about designing your blog.
The way your website looks and feels is a huge part of your brand. It’s how you’re going to guide your readers on a journey from landing on your blog to buying from you or working with you.
So I personally recommend Showit for blog design because it’s so flexible and user friendly. Even if you’re not a designer. With Showit you can create beautiful custom blog without needing to know how to code.
It is so much more easier than WordPress.
But besides that, you need to create a blog that is actually going to take this person on a journey through going to your about page, to go into your services page, to building a connection with you.
Every single thing on your website is not only important for SEO and how Google is able to read your website, but also how it takes them on a journey to clicking the call to actions and making the action that you want them to take, like signing up to your freebie and actually purchasing from you.
If your website is not doing that, if it’s not like super easy for somebody to like go on a journey through all the pages of your website and binge everything that you have to offer and click on those call to action buttons, then you’re not going to be making any purchases, right? Your website is so, so, so important. Okay, but I want to move on from that.
But before I do, I will build your entire website for you in my signature offer. You get six months of blog coaching. After I do your brand and your whole entire blog website design, I make sure that your website does this.
It allows people to go on your site, go on a journey through the site and click on your call to action buttons and purchase from you. Okay. I make sure that it’s built with psychology. Okay.
And how people are actually going to move through your whole entire website because it’s so strategic. Like there’s a big strategy behind it you don’t know about. Let’s move on. Number ten, writing compelling copy for your blog website.
So now that you have this design built, now let’s get into the copy. The copywriting is just all of the writing that you see on the website, but your website copy is just as important as its design.
Of course, when you land on the site, you’re going to see their brand. You’re going to see this beautiful website design. But then what? Then the words take over.
The words you use need to speak to your readers and convince them to take action. Good copywriting starts with understanding your audience’s pain points and desires.
You want to show them that you understand their struggles and that you have the solutions that they’ve been searching for. But here’s the key. Keep your website copy focused on one main goal, getting readers to work with you or to buy from you.
Don’t overwhelm them with too many options. Every page on your website should have a clear goal and a call to action that leads your readers to take the next step.
When you join my signature offer, I have an add on service where you can have me do all of your copywriting for you to ensure that it is right. You can do it on your own. Of course you can try it. I do have website templates to give you to try it on your own.

Number eleven, your welcome email sequence. So a great way to start building your audience is by offering a freebie in exchange for their email address.
This could be a checklist, a mini guide, a template, anything that’s valuable and solves a problem for your audience. Once you’ve got people on your list, then it’s time to write the welcome sequence.
This is a series of emails that introduces new subscribers to your blog, builds trust and ultimately leads them to a paid offer. This is an automated sequence that they will get every day for like seven days or so that automatically gets sent to them. Here’s a tip.
You don’t want to sell to them right away. Start by nurturing the relationship. Share your story, provide valuable tips and then gradually introduce your offer.
By the time they get to your sales email at the end of it, they should already feel like they know like you and trust you. And then we can insert like a sales sequence at the end of the welcome sequence. So welcome sequence for seven days. Sales sequence for seven days.
So this will be automatically sent to them. And then you’re not only going to be building a relationship with them, but you’re also going to be selling to them and making money.
Number twelve, write your first five blog posts.
So now let’s talk about your first blogs because they are so important, because they set the tone for your blog and they give your audience a reason to keep coming back. Your first five posts should be super valuable and should showcase your expertise.
Think about the main pain points that your audience has and write posts that provide the solutions. Go all in on these five blog posts. You want to really wow them. Okay? You want this to be very, very good. However, I don’t want this to hold you back.
Don’t let perfectionism like really hold you back because you just have to post them. Okay? They’re only going to be so good because, I mean, it is your first blogs, right?
If you do want to ensure that you do write these in the best way and, you know, make a good first impression on your first readers. We cover this in like five or six weeks. We dive super deep into writing a really amazing first blog post.
I also have a freebie on writing your first blog post.
So if you want to find that below that’ll be linked to, but each post should be actionable and should help your readers take the next step in solving their main problem. Don’t forget about SEO as well. These are very, very important.
You want to use keyword research to help posts rank on Google and drive traffic to your site. You need Google to understand what your blog is about. Always write for humans first, though, Google will reward valuable content.
They have this new update from a couple years ago, I think now, or even last year. I don’t even know when they came out of this, but it’s the new Google helpful content update. It has to be valuable.
You can’t just use chat to bt to generate some content for you. No, not anymore.
You have to make this content piece super unique and super valuable, lengthy as well, and filled with your main keyword as well as synonyms of that main keyword, different versions of that keyword. I know I’m probably just rambling on and confusing you even more. But if you want, I show you how to do this inside of my coaching program.
We dive super deep into all of these steps and so I will show you how to write your first five posts the right way the first time, make it amazing, make it SEO optimized, and I will give you feedback. It will change some things. I’ll give you more feedback on the blog. You change things, we make it really good before you hit publish number 13.
And the last tip that I have for you is to focus on your main marketing platform. Once you have everything above that we talked about, then we want to focus on marketing. We need people to come to our blogs, right?
One of the best ways to drive traffic is by focusing on a single marketing platform in the beginning. And I highly recommend Pinterest. You don’t need to do all the things, okay?
Like you probably really overwhelmed yourself with everything that I said in this podcast episode, right? Don’t overwhelm yourself with marketing to begin with. Yes, you need people, but you can stack it and over time, stack your platforms over time.
Once you have the blog post down and you’re consistently writing blog posts, then focus on marketing. Focus on Pinterest.
Once you are very consistent on Pinterest and it’s getting some traction, then you can move on to adding in some instagram, you know, posting maybe three times a week, then upping it to five times a week. You know what I mean?
Don’t overwhelm yourself with all the things because you’re also going to be having to write weekly newsletters as well, which is important. So just focus on one platform. I recommend Pinterest. For me, my one platform that I’m focusing on currently is podcasting.
Focus on one thing to market, okay? Pinterest is a search engine, not a social media platform, actually, which means that people are actively looking for solutions to their problems.
On Pinterest, if you create beautiful clickable pins that link to your blog post that have Pinterest SEO in them, you can drive a ton of traffic to your site. So start by creating like three to five pins for each blog post. Make sure they go to different Pinterest boards. So one could be blogging.
What can be blogging tips, one could be blog tips for beginners, blah, blah blah, okay, different boards and one pin per one blog post link. I hope I’m not confusing you. One Pinterest pin design for one blog post link for one week.
Okay, so the same blog post cannot be posted in the same week. It has to be split up and has to go to different boards. Does this make sense? I hope so.
Make sure you’re also using very relevant keywords in your pin descriptions to increase your chances of being found in search results. I help you do this. We set up your whole entire Pinterest marketing platform. Also Instagram, also podcasting if you want, whatever you desire.
We set up your marketing platforms in the right and the best way. And I show you how to actually make content on the platform and how to actually make it work for you.
So if you want this, click below to my signature offer and you can book a call or go to my sales page to learn a lot more about what I can offer you. You get a whole entire beautiful blog brand and brand strategy. And then you get website design.
I design your whole entire website in a way that will actually work for you to have your audience take actions that you want them to. And then I do six months of blog coaching where I teach you all of these things.
Freebies, email welcome sequence offers, how to create offers and sell them that will actually work for you.
Email marketing, how to do Pinterest, how to do podcasting, how to do Instagram and social media in general, how to write amazing content, all of the blog, all of the SEO. I teach you everything in that six months. So there you have it. This is what you need to be focusing on in the first five months.
Six months of starting a blog, starting a blog from scratch and doing all of these steps on your own going to feel very, very overwhelming. Even with me, it will be a little bit overwhelming.
But you have to trust, and most of my clients, they do, they trust that I am taking them on the right steps because I’ve done this before. I’ve helped many different bloggers start successful blogs.
So if you follow these steps, you’re going to be well on your way to creating a super successful, profitable blog. But remember, it’s all about consistency and staying focused on your goals and seeing the roadmap ahead of you, mapping out those projects.
Okay, project number one, we have to plan a blog vision and business plan and purpose. We have to decide on our niche. You have to dive into, you know, our target audience and do the market research and build the audience Personas.
We have to define your financial goals, break them down, develop a solid offer, blah blah, blah, blah, blah. You know, the whole steps that I already told you about, but it’s so important to just take it one step at a time.
Don’t try to do all the things at once. Go back in this podcast episode, focus on the first thing that I told you. Do you more research on whatever topic that I told you.
Whatever step that I told you to do. Do more research on it. I know I have lots of blog posts and podcast episodes written on whatever topic that we talked about.
Take it one step at a time and don’t forget to enjoy the process. If you aren’t enjoying it, find ways to enjoy it.
