hi, I'm Genasys

Two years of blogging made me nothing.
Then I changed one thing.

Now I build gorgeous, business-first blogs for women who'd rather not spend those two years finding out the hard way. I'm a blog coach|

Sound familiar?

Let me guess why you're here.

tap every one that's true, be honest babe

You started a blog because somebody online made it sound doable. And it was, at first.

Somewhere along the way it stopped feeling like it was going anywhere.

The site doesn't look like what you pictured. The traffic isn't moving.

You've bought a course or two that didn't help as much as you hoped.

Every article you read says the same thing without ever telling you the part you actually need.

Yeah babe, you're in the right place. I lived in that exact feeling for two years, and the story below is how I got out. Or skip ahead and book the free call →
The story

The basement years

scroll, it draws itself
2017

A basement and a Google search

Living in my aunt's basement, typing "how to make money online" into Google. Blogging is what came back.

the "right" way

I did everything they said

Post after post, refreshing my stats like the number would move if I stared hard enough.

Two years of that. I made nothing.

A website I couldn't stand to look at, and this constant nagging sense that everyone else had been handed some piece of information I'd missed.

the low point

I cried about it more than once

Not about the money exactly, but about what it seemed to mean. That I was wasting my time. That working from home was a thing other women got to do and I didn't. What am I getting so wrong?

the switch

I stopped trying to be a blogger

And started building a business that used a blog. My own offer. A site written to sell rather than to look nice. The whole thing rebuilt in a completely different order.

four months later
$4,000

Same person. Same hours. Different order.

That money bought a car, an apartment I loved, and vacations paid for before I arrived. But the part I still think about is the timeline. Two years of nothing. Four months of something.

now

Boss Lady Bloggers exists

So you get the four months without the two years. That's the whole reason.

The thing that changed

Same pieces. Different order.

What I believe

Things I'll say out loud that most blog coaches won't

tap a card to flip it
01

Your blog isn't your business. It's your marketing.

flip me →

The blog is how people find you and decide they like you. The offer is how you get paid. Build the blog without the offer and you've built a beautiful machine pointing at nothing.

02

Most "how to start a blog" articles exist to sell you hosting.

flip me →

That's the business model. The writer earns a commission when you click through and sign up. So the same advice gets recycled from post to post, usually written by people who aren't making much from their own blogs.

03

Ads are not worth it.

flip me →

They're distracting, they pull readers away from you, and they pay pennies. Affiliate links are fine on the side. Neither one should be the plan.

04

Pretty and profitable aren't opposites.

flip me →

Somewhere along the way women got told to pick one. You can have a site that's genuinely beautiful and built to convert. That's the only kind I make.

How I work now

What I actually do

I'm a blog coach, and I build blogs that were designed to sell before a single word went on the page. Branding, website, messaging, and 1:1 coaching in one place, so nothing gets built in the wrong order.

💎

Your offer first

We nail down what you sell before anything gets designed.

✍️

Then the words

Copy that sells it, written from your questionnaires, in your voice.

🎨

Then the design

A custom Showit site built around the offer and the copy.

I document every step as we go, so you finish knowing how it was built. I'm not interested in making you dependent on me.

The non-business stuff

The human part

I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio. Moved here in November, living with my brother and sister-in-law while I save for a house.

I still work full time at a daycare with toddlers, which surprises people. I love it. My son comes with me for free, it's extra money on top of the business, and it gets me out of the house and around actual humans during the day.

I'm a mom to a three-year-old. I took a break from the business for a while after he came along, and now I'm back and going all in.

Cincinnati, OH rollercoaster girl wine, obviously toddler mom blunt but kind saving for a house
Who I'm for

Let's save us both some time

no hard feelings either way

💕 We'll get along if you…

  • want a business, not a hobby
  • would rather build it right once than rebuild it three times
  • are willing to sell something you made
  • want to genuinely love how your site looks while it sells

👋 I'm not your girl if…

  • you want a travel blog or a diary
  • the whole plan is affiliate links and ads
  • you're hoping traffic alone turns into money
  • you want someone to just say what you want to hear
If any of this sounded like you

Let's talk about what you're building.

Thirty minutes, free, and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it.
