Do you want to finally monetize your blog by creating and selling digital products?
Maybe you haven’t seen not $1 being made from affiliate marketing and you need to try using a different strategy.
Totally get it, lady. I was once there. I tried for 2 long years to monetize my blog with affiliate marketing and what I realized was that it was HARD without a signifiant amount of blog traffic which takes years to build.
SAVE THIS PIN FOR LATER :
When I started viewing my blog as an actual business and created my OWN offers, that’s when I finally started to see some money coming in.
In fact, I made $4000 in my first 3 months of creating and selling digital products and offering coaching services.
Trust me when I say that I went through the struggle but I came out the other side and I learned.
Now I get to teach you how to create and sell your own offers / digital products and services so you can make money way faster than affiliate marketing and ads ever will.
Alright, let’s dive into the exciting world of creating and selling digital products through your blog. If you’re wondering how to turn your blog into a digital marketplace, you’re in for a treat. Grab a shovel, and let’s start digging into the details.
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, take a moment to channel your inner creativity.
What unique skills, knowledge, or experiences do you have that others might find valuable?
It could be anything from insightful e-books to captivating online courses. Maybe you’re a graphic design guru or a maestro at creating digital planners.
Identify your strengths, and let that guide your product creation.
Back in the day I was really good at designing websites and knew how to start a blog. So I helped others do the same. I started offering blog coaching services and blogging courses to my audinece.
Even though I wouldn’t consider myself an expert back in 2020, I was still a few steps ahead of someone who had no clue what they were doing.
So remember that. You don’t have to be an expert in anything. You just need to be 1 – 3 or more steps ahead.
Just like your blog has a niche, your digital products should align. If your blog revolves around fitness, perhaps a series of workout videos or a detailed fitness guide could be your digital gem.
Don’t make the mistake of creating in a vacuum. Engage with your audience through your blog and social media.
Ask them about their pain points and what kind of digital products they’d find valuable.
This not only ensures a market for your products but also makes your audience feel involved in the creative process.
In other words, this is called market research.
Before you create ANY offer you always want to ensure that you’re audience will, infact, buy this offer.
Digital products come in various shapes and sizes. E-books, webinars, printables, templates – the list goes on.
Consider your audience and the nature of your content when deciding on the format.
A fashion blogger might find success with digital fashion guides or printables for wardrobe organization.
A finance blogger might find success with a membership that publishes new monthly masterclasses on helping entrepreneurs organize their finances. Or even better – has a shop where she sells budget planners and other worksheets or excel spreadsheets.
A selfcare for moms blogger might find her success selling selfcare planners.
There are so many great ideas to choose from. But remember, it’s mostly about what formats your audience will purchase. And if you don’t know, you need to head back and do more market research.
Whatever you create, make sure it’s top-notch.
Your digital products are a reflection of your brand, and quality builds trust.
Whether it’s well-researched content, stunning visuals, or user-friendly design, prioritize quality.
I see so many bloggers out there creating awful looking digital products.
The colors do not match their brand, the fonts are misaligned and funky looking.
This will make your target audience click away super quick.
Your sales page is your digital storefront.
Keep it clean, visually appealing, and easy to navigate.
Clearly communicate the value of your digital products and provide a straightforward purchasing process.
The sales page needs to follow a structure based on buyer psychology.
You need to talk about their pain points, their desires, show testimonials, and explain more of the BENEFITS of your offer.
You see, benefits and features are completely different.
Benefits: Why is it going to change thier life?
Features: What their going to get inside of the offer (10 pages, a coaching call, masterclasses, bla bla).
If you want to sell anything here is my simple key :
ONE solution to ONE problem that ONE person is having.
Lady bloggers are facing challenges in generating income through affiliate marketing. In contrast, I assist female bloggers in monetizing their blogs by establishing a tangible business centered around their content and promoting their own products and services.
The one target person? Lady bloggers struggling to monetize.
The problem? – they aren’t seeing affiliate income. $0 made for all their hard work.
The solution? Building an actual business by selling their own offers.
It’s really simple. You just needto figure out the ONE person, problem, and your solution on how you help them.
Then you speak DIRECTLY to your target audinece within your sales page. Talk about their pain points and desires and make them feel like you’re in their head.
Generate excitement before the big launch.
Tease your audience with sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes looks, or even a limited-time discount for early birds.
Building anticipation creates buzz and sets the stage for a successful launch.
The way I do this is by using Instagram stories and I talk A LOT about my offers before I launch them on my podast.
I’m always saying, “stay tuned because I’m creating something that will solve this problem”.
I also create content around my offers.
For example: If I am creating a monetization course, I will solely talk about monetizing your blog for the next 2 months before I launch my product.
Leverage your existing platforms.
Write blog posts about your digital products, share them on social media, and create engaging content that highlights the value you’re offering.
Your blog and social channels are powerful marketing tools.
My first business coach ALWAYS told me this… “If you don’t talk about your offers, how will anyone know about them? You think you are being annoying by talking about them ALL the time, but really you still aren’t talking about them enough. It takes 20 times of seeing your offer for someone to finally decide to purchase.”
And she was right. People only buy once they hear about your digital product 10-20 times.
That means, go out there and talk about it more and more. Literally ALL. THE. TIME. or no ones going to buy it and that just sucks.
Join forces with other bloggers or influencers in your niche.
Collaborations can expand your reach and introduce your digital products to a broader audience.
Everytime I collaborate with other bloggers wihtin my niche, I always see more sales and results.
You should be reaching out to other bloggers and writing guest posts, doing podcast interviews, or something with them that will allow your blog and digital products to get seen by THEIR audinece.
I know this gives you anxiety, it does me too but trust me when I say that this makes a HUGE difference.
Plus, it’s amazing for SEO purposes.
Encourage customers to share their experiences with your digital products.
Authentic testimonials build trust and act as social proof, encouraging potential buyers to take the plunge.
However, if you never ASK for them, you will never get them.
So go out and ASK how your purchaser liked your digtial product. They might give you some great feedback. OR they may give you some constructive criticism.
It’s easy to get butt hurt when someone says they didn’t like something about our product but view this as a way to only make it even more desirable to other potential customers.
Nothing is set in stone with our products until we are always receiving GREAT feedback and always getting purchases.
In conclusion, turning your blog into a digital product powerhouse requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and effective marketing.
By understanding your audience, creating high-quality products, and implementing savvy marketing strategies, you’ll not only enhance your blog but also open new revenue streams.
Now, I’m not going to sit here and say that THIS ^^ is ALL it takes to create and sell a digital product. But I did highlight A LOT of very important pieces.
